Sunday - And He Starts Again

No fucking around this time.

Puberty is a bitch. There’s bigger things to tackle.

So I’m starting this again.

It was once said ‘Judge not, that ye be not judged’

Well. I can certainly understand this, and I do. But let it be known I will not hesitate to attack someone should they question me as a being. I will not crucify or condemn any man who tries and fails. Nor will I attack any man who believes something I do not.

Have we got that?

K? Good, because you’ll think me an asshole if you don’t.

I will however hurt and point out the problems in a persons character should they attempt to ‘dance on my grave’ so to speak.

Why?

Well, I find almost every criticism I’ve had spat in my face to have been soaked in complete hypocrisy.

“Oh but, but, but, but, you’re a hypocrite too in saying that every bit of criticism is merely hypocrisy, you’re not perfect, you’re just a guy with a keyboard”

Yeah, well at least I can fucking admit it.

I’ve found a lack of freedom in every society and every law that isn’t an attempt at control is merely common sense, and yes, I am offended that you need to make a law for me so I know when to cross the road or the moral irresponsibility of taking a life. You dirty fucks, how long til we get some laws passed under the table that force us to buy products that add up to a ridiculous percentage of our incomes…

I’ve found a flaw in every preachers belief, number one being that they have to fucking scream and yell to get anybody’s attention, Doesn’t that tell you something, we’ve progressed you’re still hearing your Sunday class teacher preaching to you as though it’s the truth, children are impressionable, that’s why its fucking cruel for people to brainwash them with these fictitious works. Listen, unless you can show me a picture of you holidaying with God, if there’s a voice recording or a phone number, has he said what I should or shouldn’t be doing lately, no, its called being static, its detrimental, no progress, no change. When she/he/it/alien leader tells me what I should do I’ll listen, let that be said, no man rules his fate, spare me this subtle guessing game, I want my lights shining down on me and angels singing as I hear an almighty voice tell me where to go. Fuck that, get me an email address.

Til then, here’s some tape; shut the fuck up until he adds me as a friend on myspace.

And if those of you out there who already know all this and want to comment to let me know. Just save it. I’ll accept appreciation, don’t give me cheap flatteries, because we all know that’s just what you’d love to say about yourself, that’s the image you’d like of you in other peoples minds.

Well, I think this post has made me infamous.

In the words of the hero: “I’m available for children’s parties”

Very nice. I agree whole-heartedly on your religion section. It's totally ridiculous how religion is run and children should not be allowed through church doors - especially any of the Christian nature IMO. I hope you continue writing more items of this nature; I plan to read them all.

PS: I always thought the quote was "Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged." Perhaps I am mistaken.

Ah you miss my irony. the quote was a favourite of Abraham Lincolns taken from Matthew 7:1.
These people give out some good ideals yet in this modern day and age they refuse to follow them, hypocrisy is both the saddest and in the long run, the funniest thing we have in our western society's.
Please understand, i do not have a grudge against any religion in particular, just those who insist on 'preaching' these ideas. Until i see them in action i will never open myself spiritually to their communities.

I read this last night, and wanted to think a bit before giving comment. Now if you are wanting to fight or ridicule, then I'll just stay away from now on. But if with blogging you want to interact and perhaps learn/teach through such an exchange, then I think this is a good place for you.

There is a lot in life that is intangible and physically unverifiable, yet real. Why do you require that God be easy for you? It seems to me we have to play by His rules, not ours. Faith is the key. It's not easy and not simple and not tidy.

I do not think children are necessarily corrupted by church. A good church, a proper church will love those children and enable them to grow as a person of faith, a person of understanding about God. Religion should never be forced upon a person, and I think neither should the absense of religion.

I love God. I have a love/hate relationship with the church and organized religion. I'm confident I have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Yet, it all comes down to faith.

Thanks for the opportunity to comment. In no way do I want to offend you. I'll interact, or I'll leave you alone. Just let me know.

It seems religion is a touchy topic whether it be in hate or love.
PastorDave, I must ask you, why should God be difficult to find?
Why should I follow his ways?
What if, in the end, when the clouds open up (in the event that there is a greater being) and God comes down, we find out that The Bible might be telling us some things that are a good way to live your life, its not REALLY the word of God himself, but a work of fiction (as an atheist friend of mine once described it as).
I'm not here to pass judgment i'm not atheist or agnostic but i just can't have faith in something that denies certain freedoms to a man.
I'm willing to listen to someone with something decent to say, but the crap that gets sprayed into my ears, magic hocus pocus, lets get some modern day miracles.
I can't believe whole-heartedly with anything another man writes.
Think about this. Even in the event that the Jesus Christ story is the absolute truth, whats to say the disciples won't change it.
They're human, didn't they write about the 7 deadly sins?
Humans are unreliable, the guys who wrote The Bible, great writers. Most great writers however, embelish the truth to get more readers into it.
But as you said, if faith keeps you going. I can't change that. But its never a bad thing to question anything, because you'll never know anything is right until you have the answers to the questions that lie beneath.

Although, i do believe some of this discussion has strayed from the point of my post. I was merely pointing out that i hate preachers, not from a specific religion, just any.
